Some brands have a heritage that’s too valuable to ignore. Hailing from Haarlem Melkmeisje is a 140 year old Dutch soap brand that had lost its characteristics over the years. We had a clear vision for the brand. We proposed to bring back its authenticity while positioning the brand in a millennial market.
Bringing back the girl
We dove into the history of the brand to analyse how the brand evolved over the years. The girl has alway been an important element and we wanted to bring her back, in a modern way. We had it hand painted in delft blue and cleaned it up digitally to make her as fresh as the brand itself.
Capturing Dutch heritage in a modern way.
Melkmeisje reminds us of home and that’s not just the fact that the brand is very Dutch. This large family bottle used to live in the homes of many of our generation and our mission was to continue this story. By integrating design elements that breath Dutch culture we turned the brand into a Dutch icon.
